Laser Tattoo Removal in London

Tattoos have been mainstream for long enough now for there to be thousands of Londoners who have changed their mind about their body art. You don’t have to just put up with your ink, or hide your skin under clothes and cosmetics. With modern laser technology, we can eliminate all traces of your tattoos in many cases, or at the very least reduce them to the point where they’re barely visible.

We go to great lengths to ensure your treatment is appropriate for you, and we’ll give you an honest assessment of what you should be able to expect. It all starts with your consultation in our Knightsbridge clinic. After your warm welcome, we’ll ask you what your goals are, examine the part of the skin you are interested in, and talk you through the treatment options.

What happen's at the consultation?

If you want to proceed, we’ll perform a patch test on a small part of your skin. This gives us an idea of how your skin will react to treatment, and tells us what laser settings and strengths to use. A few weeks later, we’ll be able to start the treatment proper. For most treatments, you’ll need multiple sessions over several months, as your skin needs time to heal and regenerate between sessions. We’ll give you a full treatment plan when you agree to start your treatment, so you’ll know you’re getting yours at the optimum times.

If you want pain relief, we’ve got plenty of choices, from gels and creams to cool jets of air, and don’t forget that our laser clinicians play a huge role in making sure your treatment is as comfortable as it is effective.

Frequently Asked Questions

At the consultation, you’ll let us know what your hopes are for laser hair removal, and we’ll assess your skin to judge the best course of action – or whether an alternative method would work better for you. If we are going ahead, we’ll do a small patch test, then see you again in a few weeks.
Once an individual follicle has been destroyed, it will never grow hair again. However, each time you have treatment, there will be some follicles that escape the lasers, either because the hair is not at the right growth stage, or because the laser didn’t quite penetrate properly. So you need to come back for several sessions, and then maybe again a year or two later.
Unlike with waxing, the hair remains in the follicle after it has been destroyed, but over the following few days, you’ll notice that they start to fall out. You might need a little after-care like creams to soothe your skin, and you’ll need to avoid the sun for a few weeks.
