What to expect during treatment?

During your CO₂ Fractional Laser session, Helen will carefully prepare your skin and guide you through each step to ensure comfort and clarity.

The laser is applied in precise passes to the targeted areas, creating controlled micro-channels in the skin. You may feel a warm, prickling sensation as the energy is delivered.

Treatments are performed in sections to ensure accuracy and even coverage, typically lasting 20–30 minutes depending on the areas treated. Cooling methods are applied throughout to maximise comfort and minimise sensitivity. For eye treatments - protective occular shields are worn.

What to expect after treatment?

After your session, the skin may feel warm and appear flushed, similar to a mild sunburn.

Over the following days, the treated areas may feel tight and swelling can occur together with a bronzed, dark red or textured appearance as natural regeneration occurs. Over the next 5-8 days the skin will start to shed away

Clear aftercare guidance will be provided, including gentle skincare instructions and precautions to follow while the skin settles.

Most clients see the skin calming within a few days, with improvements in texture, smoothness, and overall radiance continuing to develop over the weeks following treatment. Optimum results can be seen up to 3 months after the initial treatment. You will need to avoid any sun exposure and use a high SPF suncreen in the treatment area following the procedure, to protect your newly rejuvinated skin.
